Framed canvas · solid wood frame
The Folk Duck
The duck walks with great seriousness and no hurry at all. She has an opinion about the pond and shares it with anyone at the water's edge. Everyone agrees, because she is usually right.
Designed by Maud in the Maud Moon studio, printed and framed to order in the workshop closest to you.
Three sizes, and most of the doubt sits between the first two.

Why matte and not gloss: the surface is painted, with the brush stroke and the grain visible. Gloss lays a mirror over exactly that.

Natural, light wood
Blond, almost untinted wood with a black inner face. Quiet next to oak and birch.
Brown, dark wood
Warm and dark, with more grain. Goes with walnut, dark floors, and a room that is not a nursery.

What you receive
A framed canvas, ready to hang. Your design is printed onto 400gsm artist grade cotton canvas, stretched over a 38mm wooden bar, then set inside a solid wood floater frame so the piece appears to float inside it. Frame depth from the wall is 53mm. Hanging hardware is not included, so hang it on a hook or a picture rail of your own.
Sizes and fit
Three sizes: 40 x 60 cm (16 x 24 in), 60 x 90 cm (24 x 36 in) and 80 x 120 cm (32 x 48 in).
40 x 60 suits a shelf, a hallway or a wall beside a window. 60 x 90 is the one most people choose above a cot or a dresser. 80 x 120 is for a bare wall where you want the piece to be the room.
Hang the centre of the piece at eye height, about 145 cm from the floor. Above furniture, leave 20 to 25 cm above the top.
How it is made
Every design begins in the Maud Moon studio, where the palette and the folk shapes stay the same from one work to the next. Designs are developed digitally using hand drawn reference, colour work and AI assisted tools. We say so plainly, because we would rather tell you than have you wonder. We never claim that a person painted your canvas by hand.
Nothing sits in a warehouse and nothing is made in advance. Your canvas is printed, stretched and framed only after you order, in the print workshop closest to your delivery address, which keeps the journey to your door as short as we can make it.
Delivery
Production takes 5 to 8 working days. After that your parcel ships with a tracking link, and shipping is free wherever you are.
Netherlands and Belgium 2 to 4 working days. Rest of Europe 3 to 7. United Kingdom 3 to 6. United States and Canada 4 to 8. Australia and New Zealand 5 to 10. Rest of the world 7 to 15.
Your canvas travels in a rigid corner protected box, wrapped in tissue, with a small card carrying the story of your piece.
Returns and guarantee
Because each piece is made to order we cannot accept returns for a change of mind, and we would rather say that here than hide it at checkout.
Anything damaged or faulty is replaced free of charge. Send a photograph within 14 days of delivery and a replacement goes into production the same working day.
Made responsibly
Wood and paper from certified sustainable forests, water based archival inks rated for up to 200 years of display permanence, local production close to you, and no animal derived materials.
Keep the piece out of direct sunlight and clean it with a dry soft cloth.
